Toby Flax, principal of the design studio has been involved in Interior Design in the San Francisco Bay area for the past 22 years after receiving a degree in interior design from the San Francisco Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Additional schooling included a degree in Art History and Art with an emphasis on textiles.
Our company has worked on many residential projects including a home, which received an “AIA San Francisco Design Award” for a house in Healdsburg, CA as a team member with the Architectural firm of Sandy Babcock International. Another project with Sandy Babcock was a commercial development in Jakarta. The firm has designed 3 Day Spa Salons in Palo Alto and San Francisco for one specific client.
We are an interior design firm whose reputation is based on client satisfaction, with two, three, and four projects for the same clients. Our policy has been one of excellent service and attention to detail .Work has ranged from new construction to renovation of both residential and commercial projects.
Our goals have been simple, comply with the Client’s wishes, be challenged and creative; and to enjoy each project. It is important to have an open mind and be accepting of new and innovative ideas. Being part of a team is especially rewarding; whether it is working with a local artisan or an architectural group; always keeping in mind the satisfaction of all parties and particularly that of the client.
Toby Flax is a professional member of the Association of Interior Designers and a member of the California Council for Interior Design Certification.
